I read a bit of Tedlock's oral transcription, so it's a snapshot of a complex and living oral myth system. I don't think I finished reading it but I found the structure, its delimiting, both at the beginning and end, by the present, of the invasion of Christian mythology into their land, pretty interesting. iirc It begins with a prayer to Christian gods as much as their own. Akin, somewhat, to the Renaissance mingling of Greek paganism and Christianity. Much more interesting mythology than the Lusiads or Norse crap and the drawings are great as well.

The band is mediocre.
