overall I'd say this was my best year out of the last four or five, but still pretty bad by normal people's standards. nothing exceptional happened although the few advances I made make me feel somewhat accomplished

Constantly is a big overstatement.

Amphetamines make me very productive and confident in moderate doses when spaced out for tolerance. When I binge, which is rarely, it's just out of a "fuck it" attitude because I'm bored or have nothing else to do. Yes, destructive and bad for me. It's hard to explain to someone who hasn't done it, but it's basically feeling REALLY good for about an hour or two, and then feeling progressively shittier (unless you have downers, then you just go to sleep).

All in all amphetamines are very helpful for getting shit done, and when you take large doses and mix with alcohol, small doses of downers, weed, etc, in a social environment, you can have some reckless fun.

Have you noticed any loss in euphoria? I understand that if you use adderall even semi regularly the magic eventually fades away to some degree while the productiveness stays. I believe I might have add and have been meaning to see a psychiatrist about it, hopefully to be prescribed some sweet, sweet, legal, pharmaceutical grade amphetamines. But I'm kinda worried that if I start taking it regularly I'll lose the euphoria, never to regain it.
