excellent children's lit (6-10yo). maybe a YA would like it, but by then they should have moved on to Dark is Rising, or whichever modern ones. Did a re-read of TLWatW, was OK due to nostalgia, but not otherwise for adults. at all. They're Judy Blume/Beverly Cleary level.

BTW, cradle atheist here. never noticed the christfagging in them as a kid (and i read the whole series) probably because without the religious instruction, the parallels were invisible to me. was visible as an adult but whatever it didn't offend me.
