DeLillo is a fantastic author. Lit just can't enjoy his writing because he doesn't sperg out like DFW. His sense of restraint goes over the heads of those who just wana plow through books and then rank them from best to worst

The Names is the book that sacrifices plot for the sake of language the most. It's about a creepy language cult and some white people chilling in Greece.

Underworld is heavy on plot, but it's told backwards. It's the story of the baseball and one guy's life told backwards to the point where he kills a guy who maybe wanted to die.

Mao II doesn't need a plot and ends with perfect ambiguity. Where is Mao's glorious return? Is that it for Bill Gray?
