Neither. My fingers differentiate over the course of five days into pages of printed text and then regenerate when people eat them.

True that. Newton was the most overrated hack in the history of math. His notation sucked and he sperged out so hard that he proved everything in the principia with geometry even though calculus gave the right answer.

Leibniz was a philosopher and a mathematician, and came up with better shit before Newton did.

Old Isaac was a petulant little turd, and physicists only like him because he was as big of an aspie as they are.

The reasons for the creative generation lasting exactly five days are manifold; some aspects of the span of hours are more self-evident than others; a single description of them all together is the customary presentation.

The most obvious reason, the one given to all schoolchildren, has to do with the number of fingers and the injunction to offer precisely one emanation per day. (The fact that there are some who concurrently present different works on opposite hands, and even the feet, is of course the perverted self-plagiarism that twists throughout the endless conversation.)

Mention of self-plagiarism is relevant in introducing the second reason for the five-day cycle because at its heart (self-plagiarism) lies the central sin of hubris. For humility is the very essence of the second reason: the expected six-day creation cycle would make too audacious a claim of the contents being consumed. Five days indicates something less than divine, unfinished, imperfect. (The closest analogy here is to the imperfections placed in Chinese rugs intentionally, so as not to assume comparison with divine perfection.)

The phatic proclamation of non-perfection is itself a third reason: all digitophagic proclamation, after all, is ultimately proclamation of that ultimate perfection possessed by the divine alone.
