You have 30 seconds to refute Stirner's The Ego and His Own.
You can't. All your "counterarguments" are spooks.

His arguments wouldn't be taken seriously in a third-world country. They're ideas for the perpetually bored.

Isn't it true that he was a c.uockold and nobody showed up at his funeral? But I guess he inherited some money from his wife so he could sit around and write a book.

Pretty nice tbqh. Nothing wrong with that if you keep getting money from the bitch.

>the distinction between non-ego and ego is spook
That is a pretty compelling argument. I guess the distinction is in discerning which spooks are beneficial to the self and which are detrimental. Something that is unlikely to be achieved until the realisation of spooks.

Does anyone else think Stirner is a precursor to MGTOW and "Red pill" ideas that sprung up on the internet in the last few years? Both recognise societal ideals and roles as "spooky" and not beneficial to the self, whilst advocating what is essentially egoism and self interest.

Yes, Max Stirner was the original self-hating beta kek anti-european male. His example eventually morphed into this dangerous belief that is destroying the European race a little bit more, day by day.

>dangerous belief
I don't think so family. Stirner specifically argues against beliefs.

sorry for my English, but I found this forum looking for information about Stirner and I found this forum. only the images I died laughing. I recently read The Ego and Its Own and it was amazing, motivated by anarchist ideas, I admit. I study sociology in Buenos Aires and recently in a class on Habermas returned to see the neo-Hegelians to explain the thesis of objectification of marx and then explain the theory of Habermas. Ask the teacher about Stirner and did not know him, and most teachers have no mention about, even myself into my early student and never saw. (I mean, the teachers knew him, but I had not read carefully) Stirner is certainly a well-aimed kick, totally denied by dogmatic minds and bourgeois intellectuals. Oh, and thanks for accepting me in the forum, this is new to me.
