Interesting interpretation of Conciliator Sev. I never thought about it before, but I suppose he would trade in his old Guild apparel for something fancier, at least while he's performing the functions of his office.

Also, maybe it's >>7388202 and the influence it's had on my imagination, but I always imagined the Torturer's Guild masks looking like old WWI gas masks. I think it fits their aesthetic.

I love this pic, although I doubt Amano really read the novel. The cloak is obviously not fuligin, as watercolor could never represent fuligin. In fact no BotNS cover art accurately represents it...
