Chronologically. Skip the debut (or read it last), read the Lovecraft bio if you're into Lovecraft (a major influence, mind you). Try to at least look up the encyclopedia/wikipedia entries for the people he mentions (it would be best if you knew them beforehand, though). He's really good if you don't mind the "writing the same book for 15 years" schtick.
