If you have Homer on your shelf, read it. The Iliad and the Odyssey are two of the finest pieces of literature you'll ever find. I personally prefer the Iliad a bit more, though the Odyssey reads much more like a novel.

I enjoy having books on my shelf, as I can always reach for one at any time. And for academic stuff it's always nice to have a backup if you can't use the pc or tablet for the pdfs.

But I find it pretty hard to justify buying books when I already have epubs. And since I have >400 thanks to /lit/, given that the e-reader was 100 bucks, and the price of a common used book here is 5 bucks, buying books (unless there's no good digital version) feels like a terrible decision, plus waste of money and space (since I live in a dorm).

Sure. It's a wonderful biography, my main issue with it stems from the fact that l wasn't at all initiated in military history, so it was a bit overwhelming at times. I'd say Roberts' works are a must-read modern Napoleonic biographies because of his reliance on newly-released letters from the man himself.
