I have solved literary theory /lit/, and this is your chance to cash in BIG!

If someone gets 87 I'll reveal it with a detailed explanation.

Let the games begin.

This is what I get for /lit/ being so slow.

Irony and sincerity clash constantly; it seems that both have existed to their extremes, and a consolation is overdue.

As tropes seem to pervade in a society saturated with premises and concepts inadequately executed, the need for an enabler of originality to exist.

The adhesive I propose is truth: a correspondence with the world that matches the events with what happened in the world, thus its originality will be certain in premise. At the very least, it must be decorated with different clothing, but must be empirical truth, bound to the writer by his ontological agency. The musings of the events must be entirely truthful as well, to not only bind through haplenings in the world but through conscious action and reaction. Its sincerity is guaranteed, as all irony explored will be within the atmosphere of sincerity the truth exhudes, amd thus will be healthy. I think Wallace in pleading to return to sincerity in all forms was the right direction but he fucked up; sincerity for sincerety's sake is wrong, the truth is what matter's, because the truth disallows irony for irony's sake, a necessary reaction to the former. To assure the truth is pure, it has to be a sign of vulnerability; a fear, a guilt, a true emotion that risks yourself to the truth, because when you hide these aspects of yourself, they might as well be solipstic. So erupt with your flaws, your cluelissness, your anger, your bitterness, your unserstanding and be beautiful about it.

The revolution with the internet is causing everyone to have literary and communicative agency, and as literature evolves a new medium must be the next big run in Literature, and that medium is: "my diary tbh".

>> No.7224578

>>7224565

lol. Wrong. Truth doesn't come from sincerity, it comes from the heart.

>> No.7224582

>>7224578
Sincerity comes from truth, not truth from sincerity.

>> No.7224588

>>7224582

lol. Knowing the truth doesn't make one sincere. I lie all the time, even though I really know the truth the moon landing was faked. It's only through sincerity, which is saying what is -true to one's self and beliefs-, that truth comes out of one's mouth. And what comes out of one's mouth, when sincere, is coming from the heart.

>> No.7224600

>>7224588
I dont think you understand. Its your diary chief, you can lie, and then it defeats the purpose. Its about using experiences and thoughts you have in a narrative format that are true and show vulnerability, making it all sincere in nature and all irony will be within this sincere framework.

>> No.7224603

>>7224600

But how can I sincerely convey vulnerability when I'm emotionally invulnerable?

>> No.7224618

>>7224565
HOLY SHIT GUYS THIS CHANGES E V E R Y T H I N G

>> No.7224621

>>7224603
Well if it's literature everyone would read it so the very vulnerability would be sharing this with anyone who reads your book. If you were immune to that as well, then your truly sincere cause you adhered to the truth; itd be an exalted irony. If you couldnt tie your name to all your musings for the whole world to see, then it'd be inherently insincere cause your lying.

>> No.7224632

>>7224621

But if the readers don't actually know I'm not sincere, they'll still enjoy it, and therefore it would be good literature. All fiction is by definition untrue.

I'm pretty sure this is how good literature has been written since the beginning. Drawing upon and dressing up one's own experience to create an authentic atmosphere filled with unique synchronicities(why does chrome spellcheck this word) and genuine experiences.
