You read Infinite Jest. Great. So has everyone else. Little bitches clogging up my /lit/ with their garbage threads all the time.

It's a good book. I would recommend it if you can put the time in. I'm not American. It's a shame that 75% of people here are fucking losers and/ or stupid. If that weren't the case maybe DFW would have a better rep here. He's extremely good as far as I'm concerned.

i haven't read it. it honestly doesn't seem that good to me.
and way too long

I'm going to give you my honest opinion. It is too long. I don't think anyone would debate that.

However, it's a really amazing book, and I loved it. Wallace has some powerful ideas and communicates them wonderfully, and all things considered, its strengths far outshine its weaknesses.

That's only like the third or fourth dumbest thing about that tattoo.

Agreed with both of these. It's worth reading. It would have been improved it it used footnotes instead of endnotes, but whatever.

Honestly, though, while I enjoy his fiction, I think his essays are better. I know they often get shat on for being 'more approachable,' but approachability is not always a bad thing.

You have to flip back and forth because it emulates watching a game of tennis.

He also had a footnote on his suicide note. A few actually.

He planned to kill the husband of a gril whos name he tattooed inside of a heart on his arm then later had it crossed out and inserted his wifes name by footnote, how gauche.
