Looking for anything on the philosophy of fascism, particularly regarding the role of aesthetics.

Why wouldn't you ask on /pol/? They don't read? Thought they were fascism experts.

The Frankfurt School wrote some fascinating stuff on fascism and fascist crowds.

They're just national socialist fanbois, with no apparent understanding of any deeper concepts in fascism than racist nationalism.

I've heard that Benjamin has written something on fascism and aesthetics, can you recommend?

They have a list of recommended literature floating around but it consists entirely of links to daily mail comment threads

Not really, they're just posers who hate blacks/muslims/'degeneracy'. They constantly post about the superiority of white civilization and culture throughout but have probably never looked into it beyond 10 minute youtube videos.

Not even legit Fascists or anything at all really.

I think it's pretty funny that the ones agitating for their own racial superiority are always, without failure, the poorest examples of said race.

It's mostly because they're trying to hide bog-standard racism behind some edgy ideological wall, like national socialism or fascism, and pretending they're championing a noble cause when in reality they contain the same inactive neckbeards as the rest of the boards.

Saw a poll on /r9k/ (don't ask me why) about which other boards they frequented.

About 150 answered. Virtually all of them posted /pol/ while there was only one c/lit/izen.

Makes me wonder about the frog-posting on here.

Anyways, let's not derail the OP's thread.

The writings of Filippo Marinetti as mentioned - Futurism in general. Giovanni Gentile's work 'The Doctirne of Fascism'.

There isn't much philosophy behind fascism. Mussolini was a joke.

I can say this is 100% true at least here in Spain. I've met right-wing intelligent people on the internet, but I've only met one intelligent National Socialist irl.

The Futurists wrote pretty extensively on their aesthetics and how they felt it should influence fascism. But good luck finding any of the essays. Futurism: An Anthology by Rainey, Poggi, and Wittman will contain a lot of what you're looking for.

For the more general stuff, you can read what Gentile, Mosley, or any of the other big name fascists wrote. Hell, Codreanu can be read for some Romanian-specific stuff.

Getting slightly tired of having to post this.

Ironically /pol/'s reading is actually in depth, unlike what the reddit-tier comments here state.

There are some very good books on that list, but the tags are laughable. The author of this read less than half of those books.

>>7148780
Surprisingly, there's a lot of interesting here, and not only girht-wing bullshit. Interesting list to have a lot different perspectives about a lot of interesting stuff, but not what OP really asked for.

>>7148787
This looks legit. I don't know some of the stuff there, but everything I know is good and can actually be associated with reactionary ideology.

No kidding, I read Camp of the Saints and it wasn't particularly "traditional", nor was it "Racist". If anything it was imperialistic, and anti-third world.

I know most of it is not pertaining to Fascism, but since Fascism was made taboo too early for it to have comprehensive literature I thought /pol/'s list would help him understand the philosophical standpoint of Fascism.

I wasn't familiar with a lot of the stuff there either. Funny what becomes well known, and what doesn't.
