Have you ever (as an adult) cuddled closely with someone for extended periods? It is NOT comfortable
Where to put arms/arm falling asleep, not enough leg room to get comfortable, and someone else's body heat all up on you.

Also the use of "comfy" on 4chan is really obnoxious and meaningless. I hate that it is so overused I don't remember everything being comfy this comfy that years ago, it was a word for a special occasion.

Tldr: I am a sperg and I hate this website and site culture but it is an addiction.

A lot of the James Bond novels, in my opinion, are filled with comfortable sections. For example, the post torture section of Casino Royale, and the train and pre-climax Jamaica parts. Any part with Felix Leiter is automatically comfy; I love reading about him and Bond buddying it up. The way Fleming describes Bond's meals and whatnot adds to the comfy atmosphere (which is probably intentional and is a means to highlight the contrast between the occasional horror of Bond's missions and the comfortable lifestyle he lives outside of them)
