given that the inertia of modern western civilisation seems doomed to collapse and the culture war the west has waged on the rest of the world is all but won, what consolations does the man riding the tiger have?

the institution of marriage has degraded so much so that we are now not just living contrary to biology, but contrary to the unspoken truths and laws that thouands of years of tradition created through trial and error.

I am not opposed to change, but the wanton discarding of such hard earned truths seems to be absolutely disastrous - and i think it is most obvious in the modern progressive leftists who have to do an insane amount of mental olympics to justify anything they think.

The increasing disparity between modern ideology and human reality, as well as the erosion of modern institutions into a sort of "do but don't believe" practice, wherein there is some perceived value of participating in "democracy" even thought we all know it's ridiculous, is very grating and difficult to live with. However, for men like myself there is no option to retreat into obscurity as i have not been born into wealth.

I suppose the question is, given the above suppositions are true, is the retreat into oneself sufficient to ride the tiger? is it enough to suffer the absurdity and inhumanity of the modern world and continue to work for what is perhaps the most loft defunct system in the world?
