I've got this, guys.

>First week of class
>Guy reads a story he wrote that's basically an American Psycho rip off
>extreme misogyny, rape, racism, but where he fucked up was introducing S&M play into the rape
>Emaciated Vegan Pansexual Maoist Jew-boy from New Jersey in the class happens to be really into S&M and strongly resents associating it with rape
>/pol/'s wet dream of a Jewish stereotype comes in the next week with his own work that's just a scene where a loving couple does bondage stuff
>Bateman Jr. comes back doing essentially the same as his first story but with the rape/misogyny turned up to 11
>at this point the entire class is talking about how both guys are making them uncomfortable and wasting our time on their masturbation material
>Jersey-boy responds with a story about a guy who "comes out" as an S&M enthusiast and meets a bunch of cool smart and hot people who are into his kink
>BEE-himself just keeps on trucking
>Schlomo becomes more and more direct with each passing week
>The S&M enthusiast's last reading was a story that's entirely the set-up for a line about how "every creative writing class has one guy who will make any excuse to write about his rape fantasies."

I didn't know how to act each time they read. All I could do was try to take notes and keep a straight face while playing footsie with the girl in the class I was fucking at the grossest parts.

Take up the Black Man's burden, No tawdry rule of kings,
But toil of serf and sweeper, The tale of common things.
The ports ye shall not enter, The roads ye shall not tread,
Go mark them with your living, And mark them with your dead.

Take up the Black Man's burden And reap his old reward:
The blame of those ye better, The hate of those ye guard—
The cry of hosts ye humour (Ah, slowly!) toward the light:—
"Why brought he us from bondage, Our loved Egyptian night?"

Take up the Black Man's burden, Ye dare not stoop to less—
Nor call too loud on Freedom To cloke your weariness;
By all ye cry or whisper, By all ye leave or do,
The silent, sullen peoples Shall weigh your gods and you.

Take up the Black Man's burden, Have done with childish days—
The lightly proferred laurel, The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to search your manhood, through all the thankless years
Cold, edged with dear-bought wisdom, The judgment of your peers!

There was a woman in her late 30s in my Creative Writing class. She kept bringing in sections of a novel she'd already written about a young woman that goes to Asia to help out by teaching students.

As I read more of this I slowly realise it's basically autobiographical. This chick was teaching kids in Asia about 5 years ago. That's all fine except the main character of the story is described as beautiful and she ends up basically saving the country from poverty. But the woman herself looked like a giant turd that had hardened in the sun. It was embarrassing to see basically fan fic of her own life.

I took a creative writing course when i was 19 because i was 19. The majority of the students had about the same grasp on literature, style, creativity, and just writing in general as i did. That's why we were all enrolled in this joke of a program.
We'd all get up there and read our shit we thought was the work of up and coming geniuses. Everyone was willing to listen even if they didn't know squat about what they were listening to or writing about themselves. There was this one dude though who stood out though.. Some pseudo intellectual wearing a tool sweatshirt who would always just scoff and start violently typing on his phone (what i can only assume was green text) whenever anyone (even some clearly underdeveloped chick) would start reading. His writing that he shared with the class was all spergy ramblings jam packed with an overly bloated vocabulary usually about "The NEET life" (a term he actually used while reading) and social anxiety caused by the stupidity of "normies".. He once got upset at me for not having correct posture when i was talking to a girl in the class
