I don't. I haven't read enough about poetry. Can someone recommend me something?

I need to fix this because I always forget to add that Mary Oliver's Poetry Handbook is a good substitute for Hollander's Rhyme's Reason and Fry's Ode Less Traveled.
Also Princeton's Encyclopedia of Poetry is something worth having, it's like Hirsch's Poet's Glossary but more academic in nature

It's just an arbitrary place to start and you don't benefit much from starting with it. There are plenty of easy fun poems you could start with but none of them will necessarily help you get into poetry or have you learn anything about the medium if you're not already aware of how it works.
