I actually had to read Fault in Our Stars in one of my uni courses.

Seeing as the entire course was about Young Adult fiction, John Green was probably the least terrible writer we read.

I thought mine was bad because there was a legitimate 400 level course about "posthumanist" lit, which ended up being an amalgamation of the illuminati exposing types of books one would see shamefully tucked in the furthest corner of a bookstore so it wouldn't offend the people who came looking for actual books.

So glad I dropped out instead of wasting more time for a shit engrish degree. Fuck state schools.
