there is none, they allowed multiple votes so certain books got spammed. the list you posted does the job, just take the ranking with a pinch of salt or whatever. the books are generally the same in every chart we make anyway

I've read 13 of these fresh out of highschool
Of the 13 I've read I felt a lot of them shouldn't be on the list. Gatsby, for example, isn't deserving of its widespread appeal in my opinion - the prose is beautiful, but utterly hollow and meaningless.
Now obviously some stuff was listed for jokes or popular opinion's sake but still I wish there was a more serious, carefully selected group of /lit/ books just for discussion's sake.
