Let's post /lit/ moments we enjoyed, funny/creative/intelligent/meretricious posts, doesn't matter as long as you had the presence of mind to screencap them.

Bonus points if you were the one to 'cap and are not just reposting some old image.

I'll post a few.

Ctrl-v'ing because I'm retarded and didn't screencap.

I won't say there are no good writers, on the contrary, they are everywhere.
That's the problem: you're insisting on a tradition of few greats each generation, from times when books ruled and it was really hard to be published and good ideas would survive in the shelves of all libraries.
Now, there are plenty of writers. Bad writers, good writers, great writers, writers that you'd argue to be good while others would argue to be bad and vice-versa and this argument is too slow to follow his new work. You have bad writers with small brilliant ideas shining in some quote on an image flying through the internet, you have obscure blog diaries that are full of crap sparkled with bright moments. You have endless debates on the billion books coming out everyday, you have amazing best sellers being read by millions, hated by scholars, praised by laymen that have as much voice as anyone else. There is a Literature Nobel Prize winner a year, every year.
Forget about an individual writer standing out, that is never going to happen ever again. Ever. A thing from the past. Don't think you'll ever hear about the 21st century writers like you would of 19th century Russian literature or something of that kind. Literary tendencies are done and now only exist if you're talking about the next best selling trend. There is no such thing as a radar that must capture the high quality works that are there, there are 7 billion radar antennas receiving signals from 2 billion producing antennas.
Go ahead and find the most brilliant writer today. Try to show everyone, share on facebook and twitter, see how far that goes. Have you seen that brilliantly written post on /lit/'s page 43 yet? What about that beautiful independent film from Indonesia that would make you cry your heart out if you ever saw it but that you scrolled right past it? Have you seen the work of the visual artist that is famous in his small town?
Forget this tradition of "the shoulders of great men", no great men will ever be added to history. Everyone gets its 15 minutes of fame and that's it. Expand the rizome, enjoy the ride, read good shit.
Get with the times, grandpa.

It just so happens that there was only one way for women to earn money in the ancient world.

>reading Plato one day
>listening to his Atlantis myth, his allegory of the perfect society ruled by perfect geometrical proportions, mathematics, science
>realize that he's revealing the doctrines of Pythagoras
>Look more into Pythagoras
>Pythagoras fetishizes mathematics/geometry and believes that man can become divine through knowledge
>Read Francis Bacon's The New Atlantis
>He talks about building a new society based on mathematics and science, where "natural philosophers" would rule through knowledge of the laws of nature
>Find out that Francis Bacon was involved in Rosicrucian and Freemasonry secret societies
>Realize that Francis Bacon had revealed the ancient doctrines that go back to before Pythagoras, who learned from the Babylonians, Egyptians, and Brahmins
>Realize that Bacon's "New Atlantis" is literally a blueprint for the modern age, where the ancient Catholic priesthood would be replaced by a priesthood of scientists and freemasons (Pythagorean mystics)
>tfw the USA is literally The New Atlantis founded in "The New World"
>tfw the American Eagle is actually a phoenix rising out of the ashes, signalling the return of the ancient orders of Egypt and Babylon
>tfw Lady Liberty holding the torch is actually a symbol of Prometheus/Lucifer, who brings the light of knowledge to mankind
>tfw the French Revolution was literally the formal rejection of the Catholic Church in history, the formal worship of Lucifer (the lightbringer) / the Goddess of Reason (they literally worshipped the Goddess Reason in an old church)
>tfw these people think that they can ascend to godhood through knowledge (gnosis), and that they can build a perfect society through the application of natural and mathematical law
>tfw their society works through deceiving the masses through a media system (the entire point of Plato's allegory in the cave) and by keeping their doctrines hidden in secret societies such as freemasonry
>tfw they hide their doctrines while the Catholic Church openly declares her's
>tfw they actually serve the darkness and Lucifer is actually Satan disguised as an angel of light as per St. Paul's warning
>tfw the attempt to ascend to godhood through knowledge and return to paradise is exactly what the serpent promised to Eve in the garden (eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge and ye shall be as gods)
>tfw attempting to ascend to godhood through knowledge and control the world always leads to disaster, as seen in ancient allegories like that of Icarus who tries to ascend to the sun of knowledge with his technology and kills himself
>tfw we have to live by faith, trusting in our Heavenly Father to provide for us, and not try to dominate those around us through "science" or any other means, or seek out knowledge of the things he intentionally obscured from us
