The Denver Broncos are going to have the upper hand in the nfc west. Sure, they and the chargers are weaker teams from last years, but the Chiefs don't have the experience to overcome these two teams.

The Chiefs are a better team compared to last year, but they need to still rebuild for a couple seasons before they can make a run. In 2 years, manning will be done and the Chargers will be looking for a new qb meaning it will be easy pickings for the Chiefs.

Perhaps they put up a good record, but until they emerge as the favourites in their division, the Chiefs will not be going anywhere in the playoffs.

I used to spell Occurence as 'Occurrance', because I thought it reminded me of 'au courant' (things current), making it a more active kind of occurrence.
