ITT:
Terrifying thoughts you had while on a bad trip.
Actually no. Just plausible terrifying thoughts. Maybe someone can use this as inspiration on their horror writing.

>Your consciousness persists after your body decays, just without a conduit to connect it to the physical world.
>You will keep existing forever in nothingness. Only you and your thoughts.

or

>If the universe existed and will exist forever then the principle of "If something can happen, it eventually will. Again and again" should be valid.
>You will experience everything there is to experience. That includes the agony and prolonged despair reserved for the furthest, darkest, most painful regions of experience.

Cool pic.

Had those thoughts too.

Consciousness without body consciousness is dream. Therefore you will spend eternity in a dream like state which becomes thoroughly real as opposed to a dream you wake up from. Dante's purgatorio

>This also includes the stuff of nightmares

I ate some shrooms the other day and spent a half an hour wondering if the Relativistic Kill-Vehicles were already on their way from the other side of the galaxy.

That our signal shell had been picked up and some impossibly advanced alien race decided it wasn't worth the risk of keeping us around.

Any theological take on eternal damnation and suffering far outweighs those concepts, especially since it has been verified by many visions and documents

I don't think this is accurate. For instance, just because a number has infinite decimals (like pi) does not mean it will contain every combination of real numbers

Sometimes when I lucid dream I visit my mind palace and shuffle through the mnemonic items I've placed around. If I change something, I remember it when I'm awake. Maybe from time to time I'm going to visit that old haunted house and remember that vivid world that once was. But was it really? Such a distant memory. Maybe I just imagined it.

Consciousness in a vacuum is self-thinking thought and therefore divine. Your first claim isn't that scary.

Well, you could counter-argue that you see what you expect to see when your brain is high from all the Oh-shit-I'm-dying chemicals. After all Hindus will not confirm the christian hell in their visions.

To keep the theme of the thread maybe you actually experience what you know you will experience. You create your own afterworld as you expect it to be, so to speak. The dream like state >>6719414 was talking about.

on the one bad trip I've had, I was in a hammock on my front porch for like eight hours. I had to leave my living room because my roommate insisted on watching Parks and Rec for some reason, and Leslie Knope looked like the devil. so in the hammock I felt good for a while, but I closed my eyes and was relentlessly assailed by visions of disembodied sexual organs throbbing in a disgusting manner -- titties, penises, asses, vaginas just floating through the blackness. this never repeated, but it terrified me at the time.

ive heard this argument before, surely if a number is infinitely long then an infinite number of combinations will occur, meaning every combination will occur?

Instead of going deaf you become super sensitive to sound. You experience the loudest sounds possible as tinnitus. Maybe it's just the sound of thunder or yelling or something or just a tone but that would not be nice.

Real 25b delusion
>there are only like 100 people in the world, they just multiply themselves to make masses of people, and one of them is chosen to be god, which is like very painful curse, but it occasionally switches who is chosen to be god, everyone dreads being god

This would actually be a blessing for me; there's nothing I desire more than having an eternal, dream-like and individual existence.

Holy shit, I had that second thought before. I hope that it is true, but I must believe that if the universe goes through every possible arrangement of matter and energy, then it will eventually lead to the heat death of the universe. The only thing I can hope is for someone to figure out how to escape this fate, but that's some laws of physics breaking shit.
