What I don't understand about these threads is how most if you have so few books. It's pretty sad for a literature forum. I'm still in my early twenties and I have a full bookcase at my apartment and several boxes full of books back home. Did you all just start reading within the last few months?

>> No.6664641

Looks like a pretty generic bookshelf from IKEA.

2/10 at least it matches your baseboards.

If you want to spice it up you could put some wallpaper on the back to add a splash of colour to what appears to be a fairly drab room.

Idiot. Also the civil war didn't mean shit to the rest of the world other than Britain. There were so many colonial wars fought that the revolution and its surrounding conflicts served only as a temporary setback for them. One decent history of America would suffice for the pre ww1 era.

God I feel like my collection belongs on /co/.

I just barely started getting into /lit/erature this year because of all my 18 years of life so far personally I've only read 4-7 ACTUAL books that where over 300 pages if even (not including comics). Because of this it has affected my vocab & grammar skills for the worst so I said "Eh why not". I want to get better at that those errors plus I'm a horribly slow reader and I hate reading with lots of noise around me and I guess the only way to fix this is to read more, practice makes perfect :^) . I just started Douglas Adams TUHGTTG and I'm enjoying it so far.

Also any good recommendations for right now I'll try anything.

Anaconda "gesammelte Werke" editions seem a bit dodgy in general as well. They're cheap as shit but they also feel cheap as shit, and the Nietzsche edition I have doesn't include the Gay Science.
But on the other hand you can't have it all for 10 eurodollars, and they actually look really nice in comparison to the ugly as sin covers that Anaconda usually choose.

I haven't started reading it yet, honestly I only got it for the by one get 50% off another (I wanted Hitchhiker’s in hardcover and it was the only version available at the time). Of course there are probably better ones out there and someone told me It was missing one of his story’s, but to me personally I’m satisfied even if other people say it’s bad because it has way more in it than I really expected it to have. I’m not really picky about books when it comes to these things so to me I don’t really care about it that much plus I only paid $10 for it because of the 50% markdown so It’s all good. If you really want to know what’s a good one is someone told me
