And the weak should be culled, the strong should survive, why do you think the world shouldn't be conducted in this way? It's the only way we're going to ever become a spacefaring, long lasting species. We need to cull those who cannot execute and contribute.

While I do like what Rand has done, notably filibustering the Patriot Act renewal, I don't feel an anti government populist ought to run the government. It's like when the Athenians appointed Nicias, an anti war, pro Spartan, to command the invasion of Sicily. Only chaos can ensue.

easiest way to progress. In a consumer economy where profit is the highest priority, technological advancement is necessarily impeded. Goods being produced must be cost-effective, which means higher quality materials are forgone for cheaper alternatives. How is that progressive in any way? Eliminate the profit motive, and produce the highest quality goods possible with free trade of resources across the world. People don't need money to motivate them, as evidenced by the countless inventors and scientists throughout history who pursued knowledge and innovation for their own sakes.

why isn't the egoist, living however he so pleases, not living the better life when compared to the objectivist? you will forever cede to objectively defined laws, while the egoist never, sometimes, or only momentarily. you have ghosts dragging out your ass the ground behind you. you haven't even achieved freedom, something which egoism achieves indirectly, and what of ownness? you are restricted in every sense as any other philosophy aside from egoism. what a life that is to live! praise the best life, that life you ignorantly cling to and obey!

There's nothing to criticise, it's a fucking tautology. There's nobody in the world who does what they don't want. Rand screams these truisms and metaphorically bangs on the table with words like 'objective' and 'rational' to make it seems like she's more smart than she is.

She's basically like a postmodernist but even worse.
