Bane is not a communist, he is an egoist who peddled in Marxist rhetoric in order to eradicate the current capitalist structure and set up his own regime, maybe a Stalinist if you wanted to consider that communism (which it isn't if we're talking in philosophical terms), and then it is only nominal communism

You're ignoring the authorial intent, imo. Nolan pretty clearly *intends* Bane to represent purportedly populist (though actually oppressive) radical leftism. Given that, there's little point trying to reconcile his actions in the film with actual theory. It would be like trying to claim Father Jones isn't *actually* a capitalist or whatever.
