I'm about to read Macbeth for the first time. What should I expect?

It's not bad. I actually just finished reading it. The old english is somewhat hard to understand sometimes, but I got used to it. Unless you're reading a modern english version. That's cool too.

Have you read any other Shakespeare plays before?

Macbeth is pretty fun to read. I enjoy it a lot, and it's pretty short and fast-paced.

Outside of the stuff I was required to read for school, no. I've always been interested in reading more of his works, but when someone told me that Berserk was apparently inspired by Macbeth I was all "Shit nigga, I gotta read dat."

Been reading a lot lately anyways. I just don't find much entertainment in life anymore. I guess reading books fills the void or something.

I think you'll enjoy it. It's one of my favorites. I even played Lady Macbeth in a high school production once, which was really fun.

If you can, try to find an edition with footnotes that helps explain stuff here and there. It helps when you can't actually stop and look up the meanings behind the references.

Read the Folger's version. It explains all the archaic words and puns and expressions.
