Too much philosophy here. We need a separate "history and philosophy" board.

Get a fucking haircut you goddamned hippie!

>> No.652290

Because this board moves way too quickly, and is way too clogged with threads, right?

My advice to you? Do as your parents did! Get a job, sir!

Separate boards for History and Philosophy would be pretty cool

>> No.652884

what the fuck, philosophy deserves its own board. lump history with literature, i don't give a shit about genealogy.

>> No.652881

Why? So we can demonstrate our lack of understanding on a brand new board?

>> No.652886

Personally, i think /lit/ attracts decent discussions on philosophy. a board devoted to /phil/ would be redundant.

>> No.652891

the reason why philosophy is discussed here so much is only partly the fault of threads destinctively set up for it.
Often the discussion in a truly literary thread levels down to a very basic argumentation, often resorting to philosophical thoughts to back it up.
A history and/or philosophy board wont change that.

>implying philosophy involves understanding.

If we understood, there would be no need for philosophy, idiot.

Agreed, literature involves tons of philosophy. Plus, since when is "Thus Spake Zarathustra" and the like not considered literature?
