tbh, anyone with a brain or the neccesary experience knows we're not just our bodies or our thoughts and emotions, but people find it safe and suitable to think we're just meat golems for whatever reason. Good for them I guess.

It does not explain anything. Nowhere in the model of the human is there something that is unexplainable without a soul.

Self-evident that we have one (in the Aristotelian sense of soul), once one understands what a soul is in the Aristotelian sense. Proving that this soul is everlasting is a bit trickier, but I think Aquinas pulled it off.

You dont know what a soul is. Its a word used by sophists.
It used to be the stuff about humans we dont understand.
Today there is no reason to think all human behavior will not be explained by science in the next few decades. Nothing is really very mysterious about the human mind anymore. We dont know all the right algorithms yet and we dont have the computing power but we will in a few years.
