Do you own an entire collection of books by some publisher? Pic related.
I was thinking on buying some everyman but they look too tacky.

These look nice, though I like Everyman´s as well, however I don´t have many books by them because either: I got to buy them online or find them in used bookstores owned by canadian or american immigrants (I´m Mexican).

These books are literally just for looks. The pages will start falling after a while, if you actually read them.

actually as someone who knows a fair bit about book binding they are technically well made. Their design is tacky but they are pretty sturdy.

I'm working on getting all of Scribner's Hemingway works. So far, I have 4 novels and the short story collection. Hopefully I'll have the rest by the end of the summer.

Woop woop erryman. I like them. Only problem is the acrylic on the spine likes to come off on your hands but it's not a big deal.

Fuck the B&N books though, I have a few and by the time you get through a 1000 page book they feel like they're ready to fall apart on you.

I have a few of these B&N ones... Frankenstein, Iliad/Odyssey (but the cover is different), and Jules Verne IIRC

>> No.6480624

Its something of a mix really. The original Odyssey/Illiad is very nice, the American Gods one is nice, Dune is nice, so are a few others. On the other hand some of them look fucking dumpster tier. I really dont get the universal hate that the books have here when some of them are actually quite nice hardcover copies.

I'm a newfag, so l only have the three Everyman's in pic related. They're probably the best publisher l've come across.

>>6478001
Jesus, those books are the definition of tacky.

>>6479014
Why are those black? Is there some kind of pattern to the design of the dust jackets, or is it random?

>> No.6481805

>>6481701
I couldn't ever figure that out. Covers are different colors too.

>> No.6481878

Do all your jackets have a picture of the author on the front?

>> No.6481911

>>6481878
No, only some of them. P&P and 3 Musketeers just have typical artwork on the front. But they're all just pictures, none of the weird filtering and lines your books have, so maybe that's it.
