its just a site where you type in the name of a book or author and it comes up with a list of sites that stock it, and in order of price

>> No.6462249

It's not as cheap as it used to be before Amazon bought them.

Yeah, this sucks. But I buy from them via AbeBooks, it's cheaper at least 10%

I'd use it book the books are really expensive. Where do brs buy their books?

>> No.6463780

It's slightly more expensive than Adlibris to Finland but the funny thing is that they ship faster despite being based in UK and haven't fucked up a single order so far. Also larger stock.

>> No.6463795

How can they charge less than $4 for a book and still have free shipping?

Are these used books?

Abebooks is also an Amazon company.
Fucking Amazon.

Not second-hand (I think) but some have the usual signs of being read and handled. There's a bent in the back of my paperback Kant.

This. I haven't used them as much lately. Usually it's cheaper to just use Amazon anyway.

>> No.6465324

Is Thriftbooks an Amazon company? Always had great service with them, always the lowest price as well.

Might not be best for you aussies and brits but it's prime in the US

Thriftbooks has great prices and free shipping but they sometimes fuck you. The copy of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep I got had a Bladerunner cover and the copy of The Count of Monte Cristo I received was abridged. Neither of those details were listed on the web site. I guess it's probably the seller's fault but they had decent ratings so you have to make mistakes to avoid the shits.
