We all know there are reasons to love literary fiction and the depth of human psychology hidden in the small everyday things and what not. But it's also fun as fuck to write pulpy genre adventures.

Do you have any narrator heavy dirty noir hard-boiled thriller? Any mind consuming cosmic horror tale? Any story of drama and passion? Heroic adventures in an alien filled outer space? We'd love to spread that shit! Scandal Monthly is a small, entirely /lit/ oriented, wanna be zine destined to all those things you love to write but wouldn't try sending to a literary agent or showing your creative writing teacher.

This is barely a project so far so we're also interested in people who'd want to work as editors, designers, marketers, or web designers. But of course our main interest is to hear if you are interested in trusting us with your mind babies. If you have something prepared, or circling your head, or if you'd enjoy writing something particularly to get it in here.

Are you shy? You're ashamed of /lit/ knowing you actually care about things? Don't wanna look like a pleb in front of all this CP and rare pepe collectors? It's all cool, just write to us at ScandalMonthly@writeme.com

>shit rip off of TAR
You mean ZWG? Why is it bad to revive something we left behind? Just because someone else did it before you're gonna reject trying it yourself?
If TAR were still with us it would be different, but it has been more than a year, man. Learn to move on and keep trying.

I really hope so. I like seeing /lit/ trying to do stuff. It's better than a thousand sad pepe I'm a failure threads.
/x/ has 13 volumes of original creepypasta. It's all shit, and it doesn't matter, they keep doing stuff. It's about doing as much as it is reading. And I know this can end up with such beautiful sights, we just have to work a little bit (and I know we all hate working but it's worth it)

Sounds good man, I'll be emailing you. I'd be super interested in being an editor for this, because I feel like the bane of previous /lit/ mags have been allowing just any piece to make it in. Publishing even one quality piece once in a while is better, imo, than putting up a garden variety of mediocre stuff

We're young people still trying to figure out all the different things we want to do with our lives and, at this particular moment, with Scandal Monthly. The only thing we know for sure is that we want to be a bit demanding with our selection, discuss things with the authors to make sure the work is as good as it can be, make them happy of being among good stories. We'd love for it to be a merit to be in Scandal Monthly.

I remember when the first issue of ZWG came out. John K. got all the love, but other people, instead of being jelly, felt guilty of not having submitted something as dedicated or polished. They felt they had to step up. That's what I'd love for /lit/ writers to feel: that they have to get serious from now on with their dreams.

Well, I'm off to bed, but just post away and I'll answer in the morning. Or write us and we can start discussing whatever interests you.

Come on /lit/, there's so much joy to get.

Any interested genre writers today?

It might be bait, but I'll bite. How many of each do we need? I've been writing genre stories for a while, and I'd like to try my hand at editing. If there are too many editors (this is /lit/ after all) there are stories I can submit.

What do we get if we submit a story and it gets accepted? TAR used to do something for the story everybody in the thread(s) picked as their favorite.
