I... I would be a cat-book! And I'd sleep all day and people would pet me.

Or maybe, i dunno, i'd be an astronaut-book and go to space and make friends with all the aliens!

What's this stuff?

(Forgive my incompetence, please, but I wouldn't mind knowing how you hide threads too--I'm assuming through scripts? It would be very helpful to me.)

Bro, work your way out of this.
That's how it should work with Catcher in the Rye:
1. you read it when you're a pretentious and lonely fag
2. you realize you're that guy
3. you realize the book is so popular because everyone around are/were that guy
4. you realize there's nothing awesome about being lonely and pretentious anymore
5. you change

Don't be that guy who doesn't seem to get the points 3-5, replacing them with THIS IS SO TRUE, OOH OOH.

really, very good point. The Catcher in the Rye is a fine book, but not something to get stuck on.

There was this character in The Plague, I can't remember his name now. He was a cool guy that he assisted the doctor. I think he was rich or an aristocrat or something. He used to take notes and was kind to everyone but he was rather shy, a bit cheerful at times, filled with hope, etc, yet I know deep down he was filled with doubts, anxiety and whatever, trying to fight it to be a better more secure man.

If the entire book was about that guy, I'd be The Plague.
