What books/poems/screenplays/whatever will be studied in 100-500 years? Will they think 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' is satire?

Pic unrelated.

I bet you don't even know who Anne Margret is

I think you're forgetting that there's been the invention of the eternal archive that is the internet.

i'm sure gutenberg said that about his printing press
meanwhile 98% of written works have bitten the dust permanently

I do think reality TV will be valued more wholesomely in a different way in the future, but I could be horribly wrong and it may never develop to be worthwhile.

>>6170717
THIS.
the contents of the internet archives are huge already and will only continue to amass oversaturated amounts of content, but that's the only way to collect for the future.

Regardless of that, we won't have anyone's written emails in the way we have had letters of the past; most forms we use now will be obsolete, and the only true motivator for something to be drawn up from the muck or not lost is if it had impact and influence on things/art/etc. to happen in the future, or has some value at a more advanced point than we are now.

Harry Potter is already being studied at my University, I am not sure for which class however. That along with shitty feminist and native literature, thanks to the student union and womyn's center

Thanks, Canada.

>pissbaby ranting on a good question instead of an answer because you're upset other people besides white boys are entering academic/literary canon

also Harry Potter should be studied in a young adult fiction class; it's successful in that it effectively captures kids into reading, and sells well, which is all YA fiction can hope for

>captures kids into reading
Reading more shit, that is.

Also, I don't mind picking a minority or female author's book if its good. I don't want to be forced to read shit just because of the color of the person who wrote it.

Poem critique thread?

I haven’t smoked a cig in almost twelve daysBut that’s cus I’ve been craving you instead
So
I slept with who I liked
And you weren’t there yet
So
The only vice left was in your own depths
Creating nothing that was yours
So
Wait, this is about you and not about me I said “I’m just missing you a bit”

Richard Millet, if the leftists don't make an autodafé with his works.

A liberal arts education is literally just kindergarten for adults who can't get a real job.

Who the fuck cares what they "study" in their "classes".

wut ? The guy isn't even relevant as a reactionary anymore. His power to piss off leftists that aren't shut-in literary idiots in the center of Paris is practically nil. At least Soral and Dieudonné can make it to the news. People wouldn't care about Millet even if he rewrote Mein Kampf in French.

You're going to have to step up your "pet reactionary author" game son.

>>6170629
A more relevant question would be, "what will be left of literature as a medium in 100-500 years" ? With communications and entertainment technology evolving, the boundaries between literature, film, video games and the like might start to blurry.
