More than half way through this book, and all I can say is, what the fuck?

So far I've encountered a club footed stud who's sole prerogative in seducing women is destroying their beauty (I think), stomping on a pregnant prostitutes belly, masturbating to breath of a running dog, and all sorts of really nihilist and purposefully fucked up shit.

This is my first time reading Mishima, are all of his books like this?
