Thanks for contributing to the cynical postmodern collapse of cultural theory and ensuring we never seriously try to escape this wild ride.

Capitalism isn't "outgrowing" democracy, its down right incompatible with it. The only way capitalism can function optimaly is if there is no state, and no violence. The corner stone of democracy is a central power everyone fights to control to screw "the others" over with. Completly against Capitalism.

Also if I might add, I don't think Zizek really understand Fundemental capitalism. For example, when he says intellectual property is problematic to capitalism because it can be circulated freely. No, that's not a problem of capitalism, its a problem of states. Intellectual property is a paradox. Only physical objects can be property, "intellectual property"'s only physical presense is the government killing or imprisoning anyone who uses an idea without permission.

why should the medium change the basis of creation?

just because i make a .png instead of oil on canvas, an .mp3 instead of a vinyl record, a .mp4 instead of a tape reel, etc. my art is no longer something i created and own the rights to redistribute?

government is the original crime, in the same sense that property is the original theft, you can't have one without the other.

unless you are some kind of holistic fag that still believes that the universe is just or something

that's not a hegelian view, in a hegelian view of society you can't just pick the good parts and disregard the bad ones as contradictions, the contradictions are fully included in the system itself. That's the only way to achieve absolute knowledge.

just like communism ended up in totalitarianism all successful capitalist countries have huge governments, you don't get to cherrypick

it just makes it a balancing act for corporations

they pick and choose when to bribe / abuse the powers of regulatory bodies and when to employ tactics like tax inversion to maximize profits

if anything, smart companies can 'hide behind' the government in a sense. they just have to maintain reasonable control of the individuals / institutions that comprise it.

If you create a painting and someone copies it (not destroying the original), that's not theft. They made the copy, its theirs. Its not you can't own the rights to distribute it, its that its morally wrong to stop someone else copying it.

>>5964019

Owning property isn't theft. If you take a set of componants in a state no human made, and change them to a new state, they're your property by virtue you invested your work into them.

The Universe isn't just no, it just provides an objective criteria for property.

>>5964033

The "contradictions" aren't capitalism. Communism may have ended in totalitarianism but it wasn't totalitarianism. The end result was different from what you started with. And by the way, we never started with full capitalism and we didn't end with it, just like Russia and China didn't start with Communism and didn't end with it.

>>5964044

Corperations have nothing to do with capitalism and have no business existing, like the government.

you are imposing meaning on the world that is not inherent.

the universe provides no criteria, you do. As soon as you declare something your property you are forbidding anybody else from enjoying it's use, thus property is the original theft

>The "contradictions" aren't capitalism
they are, they arise when you live in a society with capitalistic ideas

of course if you define the real world as the harry potter world or some fanfiction written by libertarians you can make sense of anything that way
