Got this puppy for my 16th birthday five years ago, and been using it ever since for the main book that I read. Either fold up a piece of paper, or use the bookstore ones you get from every purchase for other books.

You have to account for them while reading and while book marking they will sometimes fall out if you don't restrict yourself to carrying your book a certain way.

The only decent bookmark I've seen off the top of my head was a bible that had ribbons built in to the binding.

I just fold pages or use a metro ticket if it's not my book

These are the only correct answers. I tear pieces of paper from notebooks and use them. I'm autistic enough to get angry at cracked spines and whatnot, so anything thinker than binder paper sets me on edge. Sometimes I use post-it notes (carefully folded to prevent the adhesive from touching the pages).
