If it's a common thing where you are, reading out loud forgotten dedications is such a nice group activity. You get to imagine why someone first bought that book and how that got forgotten. I had a book with a dedication about how friends are forever and they would never forget such an important companion through school, which obviously got forgotten when someone gave away that book with no regard for shit. Great stuff.
