Ive almost finished, I'll no doubt have finished it by the end of the week. I read 100 pages last night while laying in bed, I couldn't put it down. An absolutely beautiful novel that has resonated through me and evoked pure emotion, Something no other book to date has done, atleast not to the extent Stoner has. Itt: recent reads that left u gobsmakereddd

I really can't be fucked, but when Edith came between him and his daughter, pulled her away, threw out all the clothes he bought her, It really got to me. He genuinely loves her and Edith came back from her mums a real indie cunt and he is (so far) to reserved to offend her... Fucking hate that bitch also when he left his mother behind to wither and die after his father had collapsed. Practically so far the entire thang

Moby-Dick. So many scenes and chapters stuck with me in a way no other novel has. I've even learned to love the chapters going into extensive detail about whaling and whale anatomy, they do make up around half the book though.

i 4got (spoiler alert)

The way its written just evokes a sense of meaningless dread, up until where im at now (where that little faggot walker tries to argue with him and stoner shuts him down by showing his absolute lack of knowledge in latino)

This is the only book so far that has evoked an actual emotion in me. Almost cried at the ending, it was so intense and beautifully written.

I didn't like the book that much, he just made a lot of stupid mistakes because of his lack In social skills.

I'm not sure but this thread is about autistic losers who get mad when asked perfectly reasonably things like posting textual examples because they think it's a meme and then they rage.

Great book
Knew it'd be in my top 10 as I was reading it.
Stoner should be the hero /lit/ strives to be.
Shrugged off the ethos at the time to pursue higher literature. Said fuck patriotism and joining the war. Declined filial piety and being stuck in his agrarian lifestyle to chase his dreams of literature.
Beautiful prose, poignant moving scenes, and dynamic characters in stoner, edith, and that toad professor.
