An atheist is someone who inside his gut just cant understand how someone could believe in some godly thing. Its not about knowledge. Its a feeling just like being religious.
Atheist woundnt care to write because they find it not interesting, like writing about santa not existing would be.
The "atheists" people who would bother to write about it are the people who deep inside believe of some god but for some reason are in denial or chose not to believe on their rational plane, but still having faith deep inside. So they wont represent us.

I'm an atheist, and I can understand why people have faith, having once been a believer. There is a reverence for something which is greater than oneself. I left religion because of the arguments it makes, not because I didn't experience the feelings it evoked. Now I get the same feelings from other sources; literature, music, the wonders of nature.

agnostics just say it's categorically impossible to know about the metaphysical world. what I meant was: one's faith doesn't have to be of the religious type. my faith for example is the knowledge that every grief at some point ends, that matter and energy don't disappear and all that stuff. more than enough to keep me going, it's still faith, and I still don't believe in any kind of god, therefore I'm an atheist.

In my opinion, there is no God and any dogmatic belief in such an entity (or anything for that matter) is detrimental to the advancement of mankind. We can never hope to advance if we ykeep ourselves locked into denying scientific fact because an ancient text tells us to. The biggest threat to mankind is religion. Wait till the civilization that has not developed in any real fashion since the 14th century get a hold of some nukes. Gonna be fun times in the holy land.

i don't think so. we are going to die someday. theres nothing afterwars because we are a piece of life in an entire universe full of it. Big deal. I dont get the fear for death.
