Has anyone ever read The Double by Dostoevsky? Is it any good?

I've only ever read The Gambler by him and I enjoyed that a lot.

I've never read it, but I'd like to check it out.

It's a pretty short book, and incredibly cheap. So just check it out. I bypassed it in my latest order for Notes from Underground and The Eternal Husband, though.

It was ok, not the best of his work. Very similar to Gogol's The Nose, same type of Russian absurdism. If you wanna check out Dostoyevsky, check out Devils. Its 700 pages but miles better than C and P.

Most likely some people have. Dostoevsky most certainly did.
