I found out for myself that "I am just lazy but I am actually fairly smart."

Though, I believed I was a fucking idiot for the majority of my life and was comfortable being a failure while simultaneously believing I had some "weird" type of intellectual gift. muh neurosis. Now I put in minimal effort in school (uni) and will have a decent pick of med schools I could attend in Canada right away.

empirically proven that underachievers are SOMETIMES the smartest kids in terms of both crystallized and fluid intelligence so you cant use "MUH IQ" against me here.

I get something kind of similar with chess. I feel like if most people actually tried it they'd see just how incredibly rewarding/fun it can be to play. Grandmaster are geniuses, sure, but anyone can become moderately decent just by putting time into it.
