Hello /lit/

I apologize in advance if this kind of thread would be considered off topic. But every time I see this thread on /tv/ it just turns into anime/vidya/comic-book adaptations and I rarely seen any books being adapted.

So I was wondering if we could have a /lit/ edition of this thread. If you're not familiar, the premise is pretty straightforward.. pick a novel/book (fiction or non fiction) and pick a director to direct it, and actors to play the characters.

you'd have to be a clueless idiot to even make that connection

Either Kaufman or The Coen Brothers (A Serious Man) would be fit to direct it.

As for Jack Gladney, I know he's described as a tall scrawny man but I think Galiafinakis is perfect for the role.

Goodman's too silly to play Holden. Let's have Sandler do it and cast the Shaqmaster as Judge

Lynch is probably the most accomplished and capable director in Hollywood right now, I don't think there is anything he could not direct.

Both Jodorowski and Lynch working together could go well with the books style. As well Gilliam as an editor.
Or you know, being a trilogy and all, it could also mean three different directors for the three books.
