I've only read this one but it really hasn't got any faults outside of trying a bit to hard to analysis his thoughts in regards to certain areas, such as his 'Orient complex' and his 'friendship' with Alexander which the book makes out as if Napoleon wanted to go on a honeymoon to India with him and btfo the brits there.

What about the new one by Andrew Roberts?

>> No.5755715

Kubrick was a Napoleon fanatic. He had one of those library card catalog chests but the cards were all days of Napoleon's life and they told you what he was doing on that day. He had hundreds of biographies of Napoleon.

When he was planning his Napoleon movie, he hired Felix Markham as an advisor to help him out and answer any questions for hours. So I'd say that's a pretty big endorsement of Markham's biography, even though it's decades old.
