Knowledge is worth paying for. If you don't want to or can't pay for it, you're not working hard enough in life to deserve it.

If you're lazy or willfully stupid, you won't be able to get a job that pays enough to afford you a liberal education and leisure reading. Without that, you will never attract a decent mate. Without one of those, your bloodline will certainly come to an untimely end.

If you don't have a degree, get one. If you have one, get a better job. If you have a good job, shut the fuck up and buy some books, or your entire existence is meaningless.

hey guys, I have some advice and a question...
audible.com is giving one audio book for free to new members. well, there is an easy way to make new accounts: go to http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ and use that info to register, SAVE EVERYTHING after you register because amazon will ask later. there, a free audio book.

Now, the question:
I have some coupons to get more than 3 audio books (1 per month) and I want to sell them. would you pay for them? if so, how much? give me a number. (and if anyone is interested, I can sell in bulk, too)

Sorry but that's their record labels and other similar middlemen, m88.

Most musicians these days are in support of internet piracy since it allows their music to reach much wider audiences and become far more popular than it otherwise would have. This means more people go to their shows and buy their merchandise which equates to more money on average for musicians.

This makes it easier for musicians to succeed and thus is a huge boost to music as an art form in general.

I'm pretty sure it's also an attempt by some to include a top 40 pop artist in their taste to seem above their piers by giving the appearance of a broader sense of taste. They get to claim superiority over those with more obscure or harsh tastes by calling them hipsters or tryhards, only to turn around and listen to the same music without any genuine interests.

Basically most people who do this are fuckbois.

I like bookstores because I like browsing the shelf for things I haven't heard of before. I've pirated books for years, but never once have I discovered new literature through it. For some methods (#bookz, for example) it's nearly impossible to discover anything you're not explicitly searching out. And after a few years on lit, a lot of the books I'm trying to pirate now are impossible to find in digital form, scanned or set (and if it is scanned, it's usually done terribly).

It's also pretty fun to browse with friends or talk with staff about books (something which is easy to do at good second hand shops).

I've only been on lit a year, and even with all of the charts with huge lists for specific topics, I've basically taken to finding out what books I want from publishers catalogs and with reviews and analysis from journals, magazines, blogs, publishers catalogs, and other stuff. Or I start from one of those charts and look elsewhere. What I find at bookstores is equal to when I search for an authors name in the archives and follow that to other works.
