Honestly wondering what offended you guys. Sorry but I didn't like the book.

>Sorry but I didn't like the book.

Yet, you can't articulate why. This whole thread is meaningless because you refrain from adding any sort of substance or reason to what you post.

It's mindless fluff and /lit/ would actually be better off if you never posted it at all.

Well, there is the fact that instead of offering some legitimate criticism, like a respectable human being would do, you simply posted a reaction image.

i wonder why the top two of the longest published traditionally novels were written by french - 'artamene ou le grand cyrus' and 'a la recherche du temps perdu'

You say this as if I'm contesting some doctrine or postulating anything at all. I'm not arguing anyone, you're free to like to book, I'm simply did not. I'm wondering if most French literature offers what it does, because I know from experience French movies are.

No, I'm telling you that your comments are meaningless to anyone who isn't you, because you don't back up your opinions with reason.

At what point did I need my opinions to mean anything to anyone else.

The part you need to articulate for this thread to have any meaning at all is the 'what it does'.

>> No.5728390

I don't need to explain my interpretation of the book because it's themes tones and intent are obvious to anyone that read it or wants to discuss it. Specifically what I didn't like is completely irrevent to my thread and would only serve as cause for argument. I don't get what your fucking problem is.

At the point you saw it fit to put them out there. Otherwise you should have just kept them to yourself.

Why? Because it upsets you? No reason to get upset at anonymous people because they have different opinions they won't explain to you. So you mind answering my question? Is most french lit like L'etranger? If so

Again, if this is your usual style of human interaction, just voicing an opinion and outright refusing to give reasons for it
