Looking for booktubers to follow. Some that I follow already include:

Peruse Project
Little Book Owl
The Readables
Rosianna Halse Rojas

In terms of what I'm looking for in booktubers - I'm not in it for the YA crap. I find that some of the ones I listed recommend some good contemporary fiction that I would not otherwise hear about necessarily. So if you have anyone to share, please do.

I'm not a native English speaker and I'm currently reading Walden (Life in the Woods, whatever). So far I'm at page 52 and it took me 6 hours to get there. I'm reading like 8 pages an hour because I keep coming across words I don't know and I have to research them. I could probably go by context for a lot of them but I want to make sure I have the exact definitions. The subject matter is interesting to me and I feel like I'm learning a lot. In a weird way it actually makes me feel superior to people who run through books because I'm working harder for it and actually absorbing the material. Maybe they're just geniuses though and I'm stuck a babby reading level.
