Yeah, a guy I used to work with who went to U. Va. was a fan of his. He tipped me off about his stories.

Most of my books are in boxes in my parents' shed because I don't read them twice.

These days I give books away to friends I believe would enjoy them after I finish.

Another writer the U. Va. guy introduced me to was Pinckney Bennedict, another West Virginian. He wrote a good collection of short stories called "Town Smokes." He's written other books as well but I haven't read them. Bennedict has said that Pancake was a big influence on him.
