Just got this and Dubliners. What am I in for?
Is this one of those troll books like The Aeroplane Over The Sea on /mu/ or gentoo on /g/?

No, it really is one of the greatest novels of all time.

>> No.5431334

You're in for some good old-fashioned Irish stories. I personally find the whole thing very nostalgic.

Dubliners, that is.

ITAOTS and Gentoo aren't trolls, though.

No, it isn't the /lit/ equivalent of SS. It has been regarded as one of, if not the, greatest novel of all time.

But SS is actually a very informative book.

It's a very good album.

Ulysses is not really troll, it's just incredibly difficult. So in a way it a troll for the average reader on /lit/, that's not supposed to sound derogatory it just takes a lot of work.

No, I might have, but I was too busy patting myself on the back for knowing how to use 'nostalgic' correctly.

I prayed for a pendant and I got a pedant. Fuckin' typical.

>mfw there are people out there who seriously consider Ulysses a troll
