Some of the greatest writers in history have been women. Sadly, because society has been so oppressive viz-a-viz gender binaries, many of them were themselves oblivious to their internal femininity. We catch glimpses of their struggle with the gender binary in their writings, however. For my master's thesis I compiled a list of famous writers who I can say with 95% conviction were almost certainly transgender:

I am now petitioning my university to start referring to these authors using female pronouns, since they no doubt would have transitioned had not society been so oppressive. I am also editing their wikipedia pages to reflect the truth.
