What books do you think would make good film adaptations?

Nearly any if done right.

Apples and oranges, pal. Film is capable of things books are not capable of.

I don't know about adaption, but I'd love to see a film Ulysses.
Like how Joyce was a story-teller playing with different ways of telling stories, the film Ulysses would randomly change it's method of animation/film. One part would be Svankmejer-style, creep-out stop motion (I think the chapter with all the headlines would be best for this. All the characters composed of common household objects lurching through their motions), and the scene in the whorehouse would be done in Tex Avery style with eyeballs exploding out of heads and Bloom's tongue unspooling for miles, and the end of it would be an overacted black and white, soundless movie with just "yes, yes, yes, yes" appearing on the screen periodically as the characters exaggeratedly reenact (Chaplin style, complete with Bloom wearing a bowler) Bloom's marriage proposal.

The one I'm currently writing. Stay tuned in the next 5-10 years. The next time a book turns into a best-selling series, and that series becomes a huge film series, you'll know it was me. you should probably all screencap this

There is one.

The only good part is Molly's part at the end.

The rest is awful.

I don't about film adaptations , film are so short ,y a know? I think the first law trilogy is begging to be made into a TV series. Its fast past junk, but interesting and bloody enough to hold attention, plus Bayaz's character is adorable!!

No, Farrell is awful at doing anything but looking retarded.
