I didn't get it.
What the fuck, /lit/, I like surrealism, but this looks to me like it was just supposed to be random stuff happening without any reason, and not giving any answer whatsoever.
Why would anyone do this?

Isn't the point of metaphors to make them understandable -as- a metaphor, for the general public?
I liked the writing, but I honest to God don't understand what happened.

Don't know this, but sounds like that piece of shit "Un Chien Andalou" in book form.

Come on guys, surrealism often has its own reasons. To incite some kind of feeling, or to leave something open for multiple interpretations, or anything like that.

I suppose you could -really- do surrealism for the sole purpose of being surreal, but in that case I don't see the point of it to use it in your stories (because there is no point).

And that didn't happen in your book why?

Personally, I love Abe - he's got a very dream-like, uninterpretable thing going on, similar to Kafka at times

Anybody have an idea where to get this on DDL or Torrent ? I've found some collections but this was not part of it.

Read this book a while ago. From what I remember and assume, it's a satire of the bloated bureaucracy that is the Japanese healthcare system. Plus a lot about dicks toward the end.

There was a Japanese surrealist movement?
